Swag Saber & Parched Pools

These tracks were created for 'The People's Radio #1' and had the following restrictions :

• Theme : Glitch
• NO 4/4 TIME
• FIVE (5) INSTRUMENTS MAXIMUM
• MICROTONAL ROOT NOTE

The songs are both in 3/4. They were bounced and then slowed in Audacity with a few extra effects (reverb, EQ, compression) in order to change the root note. (I don't actually know what keys either of the songs are in, but feel free to share.)

Swag Saber, like the name suggests, has a bit of swagger. A warbling synth that's just on the verge of keeping it together -- but only just -- keeps our hero assured that he's not the only one striving out here through this space opera. I picked instruments that didn't have a steady pitch along with some pitch-bends to lean further into the microtonal notes.

Parched Pools is a little like losing reception at the beach with an old shoddy wind up radio that's lost between two stations after being baked in the sun. Best served with burnt weenie sandwiches and a tomato garnish. It sways from Baroque and Gothic to Cookout Whimsy then back again before losing the plot all together and dropping the tomato.
